downtown

i have so many posts collecting dust in my draft folder and the more time i allow to pass, the more difficult it seems it is to post them due to relevance. so for awhile here, things may be a little backwards, and forwards, and all over the place.

try to stick with me.

these photos were taken a couple of months ago downtown. miss april had told me about an old building that had started to collapse. so, her and i went to explore as us photographers and history buffs (like april) do.

the face of the building had fallen away, revealing the inside as it had been left many years prior. it was like a time capsule, appearing in life-sized, dollhouse fashion. the floral wallpaper lining the walls, peeling paint,  and the worn out bed frames were absolutely perfect. i don't think i will ever see anything like it again in my lifetime. i am so thankful for the experience.

i wonder where the people are who use to dwell here and if they miss the things they left behind- if they miss this place... if it felt like home. did they leave a piece of themselves behind those empty walls?
i wonder if they're happy.

i hope they are.
